Leipzig – “Little Paris” for everyone

Your destination

Leipzig – the trade fair and music city invites you!

Leipzig laid the foundations for its significant economical success quite early and today it is one of the most dynamic and upcoming cities in Germany. But the history of Leipzig was also marked by other events like the Battle of Nations in 1813 and the Peaceful Revolution in 1989. On your trip you will visit the original locations where history happened and travel back in those times.

Music was always closely connected to Leipzig. Take a walk through the city and follow the notes of famous composers like Johann S. Bach and visit St. Thomas Church with its famous St. Thomas Boys Choir (“Thomanerchor”). Explore the fascinating mix of music tradition and contemporary music and art scene. The university city also draws visitors with its vibrant, historic city centre, with a colourful café, bar and pub scene and attractive shopping malls.

The famous German poet Goethe spent some years in Leipzig and bowed to the city as he called it “Little Paris”. Come with us to Leipzig, a city of tradition and progress, and discover your very personal “Little Paris”!
