One of the most beautiful cities in Europe - Amsterdam. The Dutch city is known because of it's wealth of waterways and bridges as the "Venice of the North". Internationally known museums, crazy discos, ultra modern clubs & cozy coffee houses are a very colourful and incredibly likeable alternative programme!


Option 1 Budget city centre

Our hostel has a perfect location in the city centre, just opposite the famous Vondelpark. It offers modern and spacious rooms for 4 - 8 persons, which are equipped with bathroom / shower. Group leaders can get a separate room (en suite) on request. Free time activities include Brasserie, TV lounge, Internet cafe, billiards, pinball, football table, etc.



Option 2 Budget close to the centre

Our hostel is located just 15 minutes from the city centre, allowing you to reach all sights. It offers modern rooms for 4 - 6 people, which are equipped with bathroom / shower. Group leaders can get a separate room (en suite) on request. Free time activities include internet desks, TV lounge and billiards.



Option 3 Normal

In July 2015, the first hostel of A & O in Amsterdam-Zuidoost, opens near the Amsterdam Arena. Bus stops and metro stops are only 100 meters away and the Bijlmer Arena Station is just 200 meters away. The rooms accommodate max. 8 people and are equipped with shower / bathroom. Group leaders can get a separate room (en suite) on request. Free Wi-Fi, billiards, bar and private garden are planned.



Option 4 Comfort

You stay at our, just in July 2012 opened Meininger Hostel. The 3-star hostel is located about 5 km from the city centre to the west of Amsterdam. Your hostel is located at Sloterdijk railway station, 5 minutes ride from Central Station, and is therefore well connected to public transport. Your rooms for max. 6 people are all equipped with shower / WC, TV and telephone. The hostel also offers free Wi-Fi, a bar, a game room and a guest kitchen.

Sample itinerary

Day 1:

Departure in the morning, Arrival in the afternoon / evening, Check-in.

Day 2:

Today you can experience Amsterdam. To get to know the city better take a canal cruise (usually multilingual explanations incl.). We pass houseboats, old warehouses, beautiful villas and by some of the most beautiful bridges. Then free time and for your own exploration, eg. As Royal Palace, Anne Frank Museum, Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Rembrandthuis or Jewish Historical Museum. When it comes to nightlife Leidseplein and the Rembrandtplein are the best spots to hang out.

Day 3:

Day trip to The Hague, the office of the Dutch government, the International Court of Justice and the residence of the Royal Family with a stopover at a cheese and clog. Time for individual discoveries, including Binnenhof, the Knight's Hall, St. James' and fishing port. In the afternoon, numerous cafes and bars, as well as the unique Madurodam are waiting for your visit. Reproduced true to detail and fascinating, see at the miniature park of 18,000 square meters all the sights of the Netherlands.

Day 4:

Free time; e. g. for an extended shopping tour through Amsterdam or joining our free day trip to Rotterdam. Modern architecture that grows in the sky, museums, reminiscent of artists of the past and the present, the tallest structure in the country - the euro mast perched with its 185 meters above this intoxicating city and the largest port in Europe all that you experience here. All this and much more you get to know at an independent city tour.

Day 5:

Start your journey home after breakfast, arrival in the afternoon / evening.

If you arrive by plane or train, we would be glad to help you with organising a coach transfer to your accommodation on day of arrival and vice versa on day of departure.

If you do not have a coach available during your stay in Amsterdam, we will organise city sightseeing tours, half-day and full-day excursions by coach for you.

Guide for city sightseeing tours / excursions

If you would like to be accompanied on your city tours and excursions by a professional guide who can give you a lot of interesting information about your destination we could arrange this for you.
